The landscape has long been a source of inspiration for artists, representing both the natural world and the human experience within it. In my work, the landscape serves as a metaphor for the sense of openness and freedom.
Letting Go is a deeply personal and intimate series, which allowed me to form my own identity and relationship with the environment around me. By placing myself within the landscape, I began exploring my place within the natural world. Driven by my newfound freedom after leaving the military, I was able to create this series of self-portraits. It’s an expression of my journey towards letting go of the constraints and hierarchy of military life.
